The reZEB Project was presented to representatives of the refrigeration industry during the World Refrigeration Day Forum, organised by KPT.
The session dedicated to reZEB highlighted the project’s contribution to strengthening technical higher education through the modernisation of curricula and the alignment of study programmes with current industry needs, green technologies and European standards. Particular attention was given to the project’s impact on curriculum development and to the way the updated academic content helps prepare future professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required by the evolving refrigeration, energy-efficiency and sustainable-building sectors.
The broader event brought together students, academics and representatives of the refrigeration industry to discuss current challenges, professional responsibilities and sustainable solutions related to environmental protection and refrigeration technologies.
Participants were also introduced to the Albanian legal framework on fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases), with particular emphasis on Law No. 2/2023 and the obligations it establishes for businesses operating in the refrigeration, air-conditioning, heat-pump and industrial-cooling sectors. The discussions stressed the importance of complying with legal requirements related to the import, handling and use of refrigerant gases.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect education, industry and regulatory requirements, while showcasing how the reZEB project supports the development of relevant professional skills and promotes the transition towards more sustainable and energy-efficient practices.
