The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) is hosting today a consortium meeting for the Erasmus+ project “Fostering Renewable Energy Technologies and Energy Efficiency Knowledge towards Near Zero Energy Buildings of Engineers and Professionals in Western Balkan Countries” (reZEB). The meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between EU universities and higher-education institutions in the Western Balkans by modernizing and adapting the latter’s educational systems to EU standards in renewable energy use and energy efficiency in the building sector.
Professor Juan J. Hernández (UCLM) coordinates the reZEB project, which seeks to promote collaborative work between EU universities and partner higher-education institutions. Activities include updating existing courses, creating new modules, upgrading technical equipment, and training academic and administrative staff. The project also aims to reinforce collaboration with local industry to improve competitiveness.
The opening welcome was given by the director of IIER, Miguel Castro. More than a dozen consortium representatives attended the meeting, including delegates from UCLM, University eCampus (Italy), Neapolis University Pafos (Cyprus), European University of Tirana (Albania), Polis University (Albania), Professional College of Tirana (Albania), Universum College (Kosovo), and International Business College Mitrovica (Kosovo).
The purpose of this meeting, which will run until Friday, 7 November, is to coordinate ongoing project activities and assess project progress.
