We are excited to share the fantastic outcome of the International Ozone Day Forum held on September 16, 2024! This remarkable event brought together experts, stakeholders, and passionate participants to discuss the future of energy efficiency, sustainability, and the latest regulatory updates that are shaping our environmental landscape.
The day kicked off with an inspiring introduction by Prof. Dr. Luan Karçanaj, Rector of KPT, who emphasized the importance of dialogue and collaboration in tackling the pressing issues of climate change and environmental protection. His remarks set the stage for an insightful and engaging forum that kept the audience invested throughout the day.
Diana Biba from KPT shared important updates on the ReZEB Project, particularly the significant curriculum revisions that now reflect cutting-edge advancements in renewable energy and energy efficiency. She also introduced the exciting development of a new laboratory aimed at enhancing research and practical applications in this field, and highlighted upcoming collaborations with key stakeholders. The valuable feedback and input from these stakeholders will continue to guide the project’s direction.
Additionally, Mimoza Vokshi, Coordinator of the National Ozone Unit (NOU), provided an update on the latest NOU activities and outlined important legislative changes on the horizon. These updates were complemented by Msc. Ilir Palushi, KPT lecturer and national expert for NOU, who discussed the implications of EU Regulation 2024/573. He explained how evolving national legislation is aligning with EU standards, and the significant impact these changes will have on both the business sector and academic institutions.
Throughout the event, attendees were deeply engaged in interactive discussions, actively participating in Q&A sessions that generated valuable insights on how to further drive energy efficiency and sustainability efforts.
