Known for its traditional learning and novel research, the University is breaking new grounds by transgressing the traditional boundaries of knowledge, while making an impact on students’ lives and responding to their quest for a successful career in the future.
The Neapolis University of Paphos (aka Neapolis or NUP) is a young university, fully licensed by the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus, with tangible goals to grow in size and excel academically. Our long-term strategy, therefore, aims at achieving this vision. Our big challenge is to consider the most appropriate way to expand and the expansion is likely to come mostly from other programs taught in the English language and students from outside Cyprus/Greece.
NUP is has implemented numerous EU projects that relate to sustainable development in line with the UN SDGs, including projects on Educating Migrants and Refugees (SDG 1) Municipal waste management (SDG 11) and promoting preservation of cultural heritage on cities hosting Mega-events (SDG 11), and it aspires to participate in other projects that contribute to other SDGs including this project (SDG 12, 14).
